Nicole Scherzinger Dons Teal Body-con Dress for ‘Today’ Show, Talks ‘Sunset Blvd.’ on Broadway

Nicole Scherzinger favored jewel tones on NBC‘s “Today” on Tuesday in New York. The former Pussycat Doll stopped by to chat about her Broadway debut in the new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical “Sunset Blvd.,” based on the 1950 film of the same name.

Scherzinger selected a dark teal body-con dress featuring shoulder cutouts and a thigh-high slit. Gray pumps, a metallic miniature handbag and diamond-encrusted jewelry topped off her look.

Wearing her dark tresses in waves, the singer’s makeup consisted of brown eye shadow, coral blush and a glossy mauve lip.

Speaking to cohosts Jenna Bush Hager and Scarlett Johansson, Scherzinger discussed her “dream” of starring in a Broadway show.

“I’m so grateful to be able to step into a role like this that gets to show every facet of me,” she said. “I get to give my whole being and my whole heart and soul every night.”

Scherzinger also discussed the show’s minimalist aesthetic. Unlike the film and original musical, the new Broadway production of “Sunset Boulevard” features no flashy sets or costumes.

“We’re thinking outside of the box, it’s so unconventional and so unique,” she explained. “It’s great because we stripped it all back and it’s all about the human emotion, the human journey.”

In November, Scherzinger talked about her latest role on “Live With Kelly and Mark,” where she modeled a ruched leopard print midi dress with taupe suede heels and gold jewelry.

Leopard print dominated runways during the fall 2024 season, with labels like Christian Dior, Isabel Marant and No. 21 dabbling in the trend. Additionally, one of the key components of the “Mob Wife” aesthetic, which took over TikTok earlier last year, is leopard print.
