Ralph Lauren Is the Fragrance Foundation’s 2025 Hall of Fame Honoree

The Fragrance Foundation has named its 2025 Hall of Fame honoree.

Ralph Lauren will join the ranks of Givaudan’s Gilles Andrier, L’Oréal’s Nicolas Hieronimus and Jeff Gennette of Macy’s Inc. as the 2025 recipient of the organization’s Hall of Fame award.

Lauren will be honored at the annual Fragrance Foundation Awards, taking place June 5 at Lincoln Center.

“He embodies the American spirit from creativity to business success, capturing the imagination of the consumer. His distinguished career spanning decades and his profound impact on American fragrances has etched his name and brand into modern American history and culture,” said Linda Levy, president of the Fragrance Foundation, in a statement.

L’Oréal has held the Ralph Lauren Fragrances license since the range came to be in 1985.

“This incredible recognition from the Fragrance Foundation is a testament to the timeless allure and power of the Ralph Lauren Fragrances brand,” said global brand president Charles Finaz de Villaine in the statement. “As one of the most iconic American designers in the world, Mr. Lauren has captured the essence of the American dream with a fragrance portfolio that evokes his creative vision of classic American style and exuberant spirit.”

That portfolio includes the range of Polo fragrances, as well as the introduction of new pillars such as Ralph’s Club in 2021. The brand has also tapped top talent to front campaigns, from New York Yankees player Aaron Judge to McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norris.

Fragrance is still the hottest category in the U.S. prestige beauty market, with Circana data showing it overtook skin care as the industry’s second largest category in 2024. It grew 12 percent that year across retail channels, juice concentrations and price points.
