Casetify Expands Into Travels With Luggage Collection

Casetify, the Hong Kong-based tech accessories company, is making its foray into the traveling business with its latest Casetify Travel luggage collection.

For the 14-year-old company, eyeing $300 million in 2024 revenue, the leap into luggage was inspired by chief executive officer and cofounder Wesley Ng’s firsthand frustration with a battered suitcase at the airport.

“With a decade of experience protecting phones through our cases, we knew we could create better, more durable suitcases,” said Ng.

After spending “years to perfect the product,” Ng and his team finally landed on a hard-shell silhouette that resembled its recognizable phone case, which has protruding edges that help absorb shock.

Aimed at creating “a game-changer” for the travel business, Casetify designed the suitcase with the company’s signature Bounce Bumpers, Japanese Hinomoto wheels, and German Makrolon polycarbonate, aiming for ultra-lightweight and high-impact protection.

Casetify began teasing the new collection on Instagram a week ago, sharing snapshots of the product. The account has already garnered more than 5,300 followers.

The Bounce travel collection, which features a hard-shell carry-on suitcase, will be available in red, blue and black and offer accessories such as a tech pack organizer and a packing cube.

A customization feature, including colorway selection and letter embossing, will enable customers to add an unmissable personal touch and help make their suitcase easy to spot on the conveyor belt.

“Our luggage isn’t just a functional item — it’s a personal statement. We’re targeting creative travelers who value both style and substance and who want their luggage to reflect their individuality. Our primary markets are the creative, tech-savvy, and fashion-forward individuals who appreciate cutting-edge technology and self-expression,” said Ng, who has eyes set on building “a complete travel ecosystem” by tapping into the brand’s millions of users and fans.

The Casetify Travel luggage will start at $399 and will be available in the label’s U.S. and South Korean stores from Friday.
