Cristin Milioti joined the cast and creative team behind “The Penguin” for the series’ premiere in New York City on Tuesday. The highly anticipated show is a follow-up to the 2022 film “The Batman,” starring Robert Pattinson and Zoë Kravitz.
For the series premiere, Milioti chose a silver metallic midi dress with a dramatic slit. The dress featured a fitted bodice, defined waist and an A-line skirt, with a long slit extending from her waist to the hem.
Milioti wore sheer black tights and completed her look with heels so dark they were nearly invisible on the black carpet. Keeping her dress the focal point, she chose minimal accessories, only adding dangling silver earrings.
The actress’ dark brown hair was styled in subtle soft waves with a middle part. Milioti’s makeup featured bold eyes and brows with a soft pink lip.
Milioti’s choice of a metallic dress comes just days after the trend appeared on the 2024 Emmy Awards red carpet. Silver and gold shades were seen leading up to the awards show on Sunday.
Among those embracing the metallic trend on the red carpet, Kristen Wiig wore a gold Oscar de la Renta gown, Gillian Anderson chose a textured silver square-neck gown by Emilia Wickstead, and “Fallout” star Ella Purnell wore a silver Rabanne gown crafted from the label’s signature chainmail material.
“The Penguin” takes place following the events of “The Batman.” With Gotham city under water, Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, who is played by Colin Farrell, makes a bid to seize control of the crime world away from the Falcone family. The series premieres on HBO and will stream on Max beginning Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
