IEA: battery demand surpassed 1 TW/h in 2024, led by China

In a new analysis piece, the International Energy Agency (IEA) shared its assessment that global annual battery demand surpassed 1 TW/h for the first time ever in 2024. This was driven by surging demand and falling price, with the average price of a battery pack falling below US$100 per KW/h for the first time.
