Isaac Mizrahi Live! Creative Director and On-air Guest James Aguiar Makes Debut on QVC Tonight

James Aguilar, an authority on style, who late last year became creative director and on-air guest at Isaac Mizrahi Live!, a lifestyle and apparel brand exclusively on QVC, makes his debut on QVC Friday night. He will appear alongside Isaac Mizrahi, founder and chief design officer, who leads the brand and to whom he reports.

Aguiar said he was excited to join Mizrahi and his team on QVC. “I have always admired the vision, creativity and sheer joy that Isaac brings to fashion. Designing for everyone has always been a part of Isaac’s design philosophy, a philosophy we both share,” said Aguiar. “I look forward to working with Isaac and his team to create beautiful, exuberant clothes that bring joy to so many women’s wardrobes.”

Along with Mizrahi, Aguiar will go on-air at QVC as well as create content for social commerce and streaming.

Mizrahi said, “I am absolutely delighted by the incredible growth and energy surrounding Isaac Mizrahi Live! on QVC. With James joining as an additional on-air talent, I couldn’t be more thrilled to see the magic he brings to our loyal QVC fans as we kick off the new year with exciting shows and inspired collections.”

Isaac Mizrahi Live! is known for its bold and colorful apparel and coordinating accessories and footwear at accessible price points.

Earlier in his career, Aguiar held such positions as fashion director at Bergdorf Goodman and creative director of Nina Ricci. He has also been an on-air host for “Full Frontal Fashion” and has made numerous TV appearances.

“James’ ability to connect with audiences and his innovative approach to fashion will undoubtedly bring excitement to Isaac Mizrahi Live!,” said Lynn Flynn, executive vice president of fashion at WHP Global, the brand management firm that holds a majority stake in the Isaac Mizrahi brand. “The combination of James and Isaac is a powerful pairing that will help us as we look to expand the brand’s presence on QVC and beyond.”

Launched in 1987 by Mizrahi, the brand has generated more than $1 billion in retail sales since its inception and is among the top fashion brands on QVC.

In addition to Mizrahi, WHP’s brands include Rag & Bone, Joe’s Jeans, G-Star, Anne Klein, Joseph Abboud, William Rast, Toys “R” Us, Babies “R” Us and Lotto. The company revealed a deal last month to acquire the Vera Wang fashion brand. The deal is expected to close this month.
