Pamela Anderson Deconstructs the Rat Pack’s Sin City Glamour With Edgy Feminine Twists for ‘The Last Showgirl’ Premiere at Toronto International Film Festival

The cast of “The Last Showgirl” walked the red carpet for the premiere of the film at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday, and the dress code was decidedly demure, with stars like Pamela Anderson opting for a sleek, all-black ensemble.

The “Baywatch” alum drew inspiration from menswear silhouettes for her red carpet look. She wore fitted black trousers with a tailored jacket featuring dramatic lapels and elongated sleeves, layered over a sleek black blouse. She completed the look with pointed-toe heels.

Perhaps Anderson gave a subtle sartorial nod to the zenith of Las Vegas glamour, the 1960s — but with deconstructed feminine twists. A time when showgirl revues and the Rat Pack ruled the Strip. Think Dean Martin’s signature French cuffs, but unfolded, and Sammy Davis Jr’s undone bowtie draped under the collar.

Anderson accessorized with Pandora Jewelry, for which she’s been the brand ambassador since 2023. She wore a custom Era Necklace and paired it with custom Era Earrings. Both pieces, adorned with lab-grown diamonds, reflected the actress and author’s passion for environmental action and sustainability.

In February 2023, Anderson began shifting away from the full-makeup looks and pinup-inspired wardrobe associated with her ’90s-era “Baywatch” days, debuting her new style for WWD. “I thought my legacy would be a red swimsuit and a pink fuzzy hat, and nobody would ever know how much I’ve gone through, what I’ve overcome and how I put this all together as a creative art project,” she explained of her decision to write her “Love, Pamela” memoir and explore new sartorial avenues.

She has swapped her minidresses for minimalist, structured outfits, as seen on numerous occasions, like at the 2023 Fashion Awards and at Monse’s Pre-Met Gala Cocktail Party in May. Additionally, she is emphasizing sustainability, having partnered with Re/Done in March for an upcycled denim capsule collection.

Anderson’s co-stars Kiernan Shipka and Brenda Song also opted for dark looks for the premiere, while Jamie Lee Curtis opted for a pop of red with a sheer, long-sleeved blouse tucked into a textured pencil skirt.
