Napoli have confirmed the signing of Danish midfielder Philip Billing from Bournemouth on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The agreement contains an option to make the transfer permanent in the summer.
Billing, 28, has made 201 appearances and scored 31 goals for Bournemouth after joining the Premier League side from Huddersfield Town in 2019. He has been capped five times for the Denmark national team, having been handed his international debut in 2020.
The Dane has found first-team opportunities hard to come by this season, playing 10 games and starting just one under head coach Andoni Iraola, who has guided Bournemouth to seventh in the table.
Napoli, led by former Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte, sit three points above Atalanta at the top of Serie A. They return to action against Verona on Sunday.
Billing joins former Premier League players Romelu Lukaku, Billy Gilmour and Scott McTominay at Napoli, all of whom joined the Italian club in the summer from Chelsea, Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester United respectively.
