Queen Camilla Favors Fiona Clare Midi Dress With Romantic Floral Prints at National Literacy Trust Celebration

Queen Camilla joined a bevy of British royal family members and celebrities during an event in London on Tuesday, where she fashioned her spin on summertime florals. The queen consort joined volunteers and guests at Clarence House to host the National Literacy Trust charity’s 30th anniversary.

For the occasion, Queen Camilla opted for a midi dress by one of her go-to designers, Fiona Clare. The long-sleeve frock featured a romantic floral pattern. The dress included a shade of navy as the base color with green leaves and cream-colored flowers cascading over the fabric of the dress.

Maintaining focus on her dress and its ornate pattern, Queen Camilla chose a pair of taupe suede pumps by Eliot Zed as her footwear of choice. She also wore pieces of jewelry by Kiki McDonough and Van Cleef & Arpels.

During the event, Queen Camilla took time to speak with attendees, including 10-year-old Literacy Champion Jayden Lowndes. Other guests also followed the floral trend, fashioning the style in their own unique way.

Several members of the British royal family have favored florals as of late. While Queen Camilla hosted the National Literacy Trust charity’s 30th anniversary at Clarence House, Princess Beatrice attended the quarterfinal matches of Wimbledon on Tuesday.

Seated in the royal box alongside her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Princess Beatrice fashioned a vibrant floral shirtdress by Monique Lhuillier, which included lace detailing. Other members of the British royal family fashioned florals during 2024 Royal Ascot, including Princess Beatrice, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh and Zara Tindall, among others.

But Queen Camilla has long ascribed to playful patterns, including florals. She recently fashioned two different floral looks, both of which were designed by Fiona Clare, during the royal family’s trip to Scotland for Holyrood Week on July 2. She also wore a brooch from Queen Elizabeth II’s jewelry collection.

While Queen Camilla often gravitates toward a similar silhouette of dress, the queen consort is rarely averse to styling playful patterns, demonstrating how the royal embraces tradition without sacrificing her own style.
