The Seattle Seahawks have fired offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb after only one season, according to reports.
Grubb, 48, came to the Seahawks after spending the previous two seasons in the college ranks as offensive coordinator for Washington.
Seattle’s offense ranked 18th in the league in points averaging 22.1 points per game. The unit was one of the least effective teams running the football in 2024 ranking 29th in carries per game (22.5) and 28th in rushing yards per game (95.7). This points to Seattle being one of the more pass-happy teams in the league, ranking fourth in pass play percentage (66.5 percent), via TruMedia.

“I know there are people that probably share my frustration, and our fans deserve the best,” Grubb said last week. “We have a great team and there’s times where we line up and play people, some of the best in the NFL, and I don’t think there’s people we watch on film and it’s like, ‘Oh my God, how are we going to move the ball on these guys?’ I feel excited every time we get an opportunity to play some of the best in the league.
“I really feel like we’re on the cusp of that, that we can do something really special. Right now, those are just words and that doesn’t help anything at this point. The season is going to be over this weekend, unfortunately, which hurts.”
