Lyon have completed the loan signing of winger Wilfried Zaha from Galatasaray.
The 31-year-old joins the French side for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
The Athletic reported that Zaha was close to sealing a temporary move to Lyon, who are owned by John Textor’s Eagle Football Holdings, the largest shareholders in Zaha’s former club Crystal Palace.

A move to France enables Zaha to avoid the tax complications he would have encountered by returning to the UK.
Zaha drew interest from Leicester City and Palace this summer, but returned to Galatasaray training in mid-August after no deal materialised.
Leicester pursued a loan move for Zaha, while Palace explored a potential return. However, a move back to the Premier League was complicated by the tax liabilities Zaha would face in the UK.
Zaha joined Galatasaray as a free agent last summer after his Palace contract expired, but he has since fallen down the pecking order in Istanbul. Despite making 43 appearances and scoring 10 goals, only half of those appearances were starts, prompting interest from other clubs.
